PARIS SES FORTIFICATIONS ET SA BANLIEUE. Very large and very decorative antique plan of Paris in 1851. This is a very nice map, before the modernisation of Paris realised by Napoleon III and the Baron Georges-Eugène Hausmann.

The map is illustrated by 30 vignettes of the main monuments of Paris, in colors. All around, a table with the index of the streets of Paris and suburbs, in alphabetic order.

We can see the 15 forts and the fortifications all around Paris, in red color, which protected Paris from the invasions. Size with margins: 81 x 113 cm / 31,8 x 44,4 inches Condition: good condition, very small repairs on the back.
