Drawn & engraved for John Thomson Co's New General Atlas. Fascinating folio sheet early 19th century engraved map, with lovely original hand color. Of note for the vast unbroken chain of mountains shown cutting across the entire center of Africa, the apocryphal Mts. Nice looking example, pleasing age patina, slight soiling and evidence of extra crease below title, still lovely appearance, any minor age flaws easy to overlook or forgive.
