Large detailed antique copper engraved map of northern Germany, by Johann Baptist Homann. This map depicts the Schleswig-Holstein region with the fortified cities of Tonning, Husum, Sonderborg, Flensborg, and Sleswight. Shoals and passages are fully engraved in the sea. A lot of towns, villages, rivers, lakes, and islands are located and named. In lower left, a large decorative title cartouche. He founded his company in 1702.
