Antique Placenza Italy Map Copper Engraving 18th Century HandColored Engelbrecht
This antique map of Piacenza, Italy, is a beautiful example of 18th-century cartography. The intricate details of the city and surrounding areas were engraved using copper plates and hand-colored for added vibrancy.
The map was created by Engelbrecht, a renowned cartographer and publisher of the time. Measures about 13" X 9". This piece is an original antique and is in excellent condition. It would make a wonderful addition to any collection of maps, atlases, or globes. The map measures [insert measurement] and is classified as a city map and atlas map.It dates back to the 1700s and is a perfect example of the high level of craftsmanship that went into creating maps during this era. I noticed there is a shadow on the bottom of the glass that looks like a stain on the map. I don't see any real problems to this map.
